FAQ
The rules, rewards, and risks explained.
What this project is and what it isn't.
BASECOIN ($BASE), the first wallet-themed meme token on Robinhood Chain, starring Lil Broke. BASE means Broke And Still Exist, not Base Network.
$BASE is an independent meme token with $COIN holder distributions and separate weekly $BASE Retrodrop and Faucetdrop programs.
No. BASECOIN is an independent meme project. No affiliation or endorsement by Coinbase, Base, Robinhood, Pons, Theindex, or Uniswap is implied. The blue COIN symbol in our mascot refers to the stock token used for the BASE/COIN pair and holder distributions; it does not mean Coinbase sponsors this project.
BASE in our name means Broke And Still Exist, not Base Network. Robinhood Chain is the home of our pons v2 launch and BASE/COIN trading. The token trades on the pons bonding curve, then graduates automatically into a permanently locked Uniswap pool. Nothing anyone has to migrate by hand.
This is a joke. A functioning joke, but a joke. Meme tokens and stock tokens are volatile; you can lose everything you put in. Nothing here is financial advice. Do your own research.
Where creator fees go and how weekly rewards work.
Pons sends creator fees to Theindex. Theindex deducts its fixed 10% protocol fee first.
The remaining net credit is split into four shares: 30% for automatic $COIN rewards to $BASE holders, 55% for the weekly $BASE retrodrop, 5% for the weekly $BASE Faucetdrop, and 10% for protocol sustainability.
A 10% share of Theindex net credit supports DEX expenses, reliable infrastructure, indexing, security reviews, and long-term maintenance. The other 90% powers community rewards: 30% automatic $COIN distribution, 55% weekly $BASE retrodrop, and 5% weekly $BASE Faucetdrop.
No. Retrodrop and Faucetdrop have separate treasuries, allocations, and claim pages. Filling all 1,000 Faucetdrop spots does not remove a wallet's Retrodrop allocation. Each program's claim availability depends on its own finalization and onchain activation.
Eligibility, secure spots, season pools, and final allocations.
Check your wallet, complete the required X tasks, and sign to secure a spot. The first 1,000 valid registrations per season receive a spot and are approved automatically.
Your tier and the funded pool determine your allocation. Amounts shown during registration are provisional. After finalization and onchain activation, approved recipients can claim during the published window.
You need at least 50 successful outgoing Robinhood Chain transactions by 9 September 2026, 23:59:59 UTC. Incoming transactions, failed transactions, self-transfers, and later activity do not count.
This eligibility snapshot stays the same across seasons. New transactions do not change your eligibility or tier. If a history check is unavailable, try again; an incomplete check is not an ineligible result.
One full slot is the funded season pool divided by 1,000. Your transaction count at the eligibility snapshot determines your share of that slot.
Starter50–99 transactions receive 25% of one slot.
Active100–249 transactions receive 50%.
Power User250–499 transactions receive 75%.
Elite500+ transactions receive 100%.
For a 1,000,000 $BASE pool, those amounts are 250, 500, 750, and 1,000 $BASE respectively. Leaderboard points, rank, and Retrodrop boosts do not affect Faucetdrop.
No. After an eligible result, complete Follow, Repost, Like, and Comment. Open all four task links to unlock the X username field, enter your username, confirm completion, and sign with the eligible wallet. Your spot is secured only when the server confirms your registration.
The message signature proves control of your wallet and does not grant permission to spend your tokens. One wallet and one X username can register once per season. Opening a task link alone does not complete the task.
Valid registrations are approved automatically. Keep the required social actions in place. If an audit finds a violation, Lil Broke can reject the registration or remove approval, and can restore it after the issue is resolved. Only approved participants enter the final allocation.
Approved participants can still receive their tier allocation. The calculation continues to use pool divided by 1,000, even when fewer people register. The unused amount remains available for rollover.
There are no separate quotas for each tier. Even if all 1,000 participants are Elite, their combined allocation does not exceed the pool.
The Faucetdrop pool is checked every hour. Before finalization, your estimate can increase as the dev adds funds. Your tier stays fixed, so updating the pool does not require another transaction-history check.
Below 100,000 $BASE, the pool shows Pool is being funded. An eligible wallet can still register when registration is open; its amount may remain pending. Finalization fixes the claim amount.
Yes. Each season has its own registration list and up to 1,000 spots. You can use the same wallet, and its eligibility tier still comes from the fixed snapshot. Registration ends when the season closes or all spots are filled.
Faucetdrop uses one dedicated treasury. When a season is activated for claims, its committed funding moves from the treasury into the distributor contract and is recorded against that season. Later claim payments reduce only that season's pool.
Before funding is moved, the treasury holds a shared balance. It does not automatically label deposits by season. The dev must account for pending funding before finalizing another season; the treasury balance alone cannot distinguish two seasons awaiting activation.
Registration follows the configured season calendar. Moving funds and activating claims require dev transactions, so the next registration season can begin while a previous season is still awaiting activation.
Claims open only after finalization, funding, and onchain activation are confirmed. The seven-day claim window starts at activation, so the delay does not shorten that window. Check the season's published status before claiming.
After the claim deadline, unclaimed tokens remain in the contract until the owner processes them. They can roll into a later season when it is activated. An expired older season can also return its remaining funds to the dedicated Faucetdrop treasury once a newer season has been activated.
This requires an owner transaction. Returned funds do not change allocations that have already been finalized.
Qualifying activity, boosts, and the official snapshot.
Start with at least one BASE/COIN buy or sell worth 0.1 COIN or more. Each individual trade below 0.1 COIN is ignored.
Trading volume contributes 85% of the weighted score and qualifying buy/sell transactions contribute 15%, both before and after graduation. Volume uses square-root scaling, and the first 20 qualifying trades earn 5 raw transaction points each, then every additional qualifying trade earns 1. The 15% transaction weight and boosts apply afterward. Providing liquidity earns no points.
Holding $BASE earns no points on its own. Your time-weighted average balance across the season selects a holder boost from ×1.05 to ×1.35; an average below 1,000 $BASE gets no boost. All positive boosts combined are capped at ×5.
The final allocation is published, and its Merkle root is submitted onchain for verification.
More genuine activity can earn more, but rewards do not grow at the same rate as trading volume. Square-root scaling means 4× the counted volume produces about 2× the volume points.
Positive boosts are capped at ×5 combined. One wallet can receive at most 5% of the pool, and an official distribution requires at least 20 eligible wallets. Otherwise, the full pool remains available for rollover.
These rules reduce whale dominance. They do not guarantee equal rewards.
No. Before the official weekly snapshot, every live check and leaderboard position can change as more onchain activity is indexed. Only the final official snapshot determines eligibility and allocation.
Once each week, within the published season window. The interface may count down to the latest possible window close, but the exact checkpoint is randomized and kept unannounced until it is complete to reduce last-minute gaming. It is not a lottery: every wallet is scored using the same published formula, and the finalized snapshot and inputs are published afterward.
Counted tradesOne BASE/COIN buy or sell worth at least 0.1 COIN is required to enter. Each counted trade must reach 0.1 COIN. The first 20 earn 5 raw transaction points each, then 1 per additional trade. Smaller trades earn no points and do not use a first-20 slot.
When an adjustment appliesBoth conditions must occur: season sell-through reaches 90%, and at least 80% of BUY quote volume is matched to SELLs within one hour. This pattern is a heuristic, not proof of wash trading.
What changesOnly matched portions of both trades count at 50% for volume and proportional transaction points. Unmatched activity, including earlier ordinary trades, is not discounted. Volume points are then recalculated, followed by the 85/15 weights and boosts. There is no 50% cut to the whole season score.
Holding balanceA season-average balance below 1,000 $BASE gives no holder boost. It is not a penalty.
Top 50Kmembership in the published list of 50,000 Base Network wallets gives ×2. This is not based on your $BASE token balance. It only becomes official when the verified list is loaded for that season.
PONSholding at least 5,000 PONS gives ×2. INDEX: holding at least 10,000 INDEX gives ×1.5.
Qualifying boosts multiply together, including early-buyer and $BASE holder boosts. The combined positive multiplier cannot exceed ×5.
Claim windows, network fees, and verifiable allocations.
You receive 100% of your $BASE allocation. There is no donation or protocol claim fee. You only pay the network gas required to submit the claim transaction. Review the transaction in your wallet before confirming.
The leaderboard follows the active season and keeps updating until its official snapshot. The checker follows the current onchain claim season whose root has been verified; before any season is activated onchain, it falls back to the latest final snapshot. For example, Season 2 can be live while Season 1 is still open for claims.
Every finalized weekly retrodrop and Faucetdrop receives a full seven-day claim window after its Merkle root is activated onchain. The exact deadline is stored in the distributor contract and shown as a public countdown. The contract only accepts a deadline approximately seven days from activation, with a small block-confirmation tolerance.
Yes. Every finalized season publishes a deterministic JSON snapshot and file hash; the same file can also be pinned to IPFS when configured. Its Merkle root is submitted onchain, so anyone can verify the published wallet allocations against the contract.
